This is a meet the author event for the kids at Teen Central, the New York Public Library's space for young adults and the authors they like. And I know they like me because they asked me back after last year's PROM MESS reading (and prom horror-story session) was such a big hit.

Another library reading....this time for the kids up in the Bronx at the new fancy Bronx Central Library. It just opened a few months ago and cost something like 50 milllion bucks so isn't that worth a trip to our borough up north. Check it out!

For those who remember last year's prom-themed party, this one is shaping up to be an even bigger and better summer-themed extravaganza. Outrageous summer wear is encouraged; flip-flops, hawaiin shirts, sarongs, thongs, anything ong sounding. This year in addition to a staged reading of the book there will be live entertainment from the French rock band Nous Non Plus (in honor of the French love interest, Henri in the book). Also there will be special Summer Breeze cocktails too. And books on sale at a hot discount. So go west young men (and women too!)--and we'll see u at the start as summer as the sunsets over New Jersey....rock on!

In honor of the book's Wheaton locale, it seemed natural to have a local party for all the old home friends and family. And De Lounge made perfect sense since a number of scenes in the book took place there. It's the hottest new nightspot in Wheaton--okay, who are we kidding? It's the ONLY hot nightspot in Wheaton. It's conveniently located just a couple blocks from the Metro too so you city folks have no excuses. See y'all there!
